How does the French educative system work ? Two Paths for ECTS :
To reach the European level 7 or 300 ECTS (bac+5), there are two paths: academic specialization or professional proficiency.
ECTS is a European standard used across the European Higher Education Area to facilitate the recognition and transfer of academic credits between institutions. It helps students easily move between countries and universities by ensuring that their academic achievements are universally understood and recognized. Each academic year represents 60 ECTS credits. The Ministry of Education is responsible for the academic ECTS evaluation, while the French Ministry of Work (FMW) handles the professional proficiency equivalence.
What path does Hope University MBA take?
The HOPE University MBA follows the professional proficiency path under the regulation and validation of the French Ministry of Work (FMW). This program grants 120 ECTS credits, meeting the same standards as a master's degree in terms of workload and learning outcomes. It is structured to provide, through professional skills and experience, the equivalent of two years of full-time higher education. Consequently, students profils are often willing to keep learning while balancing theory and practice such as bachelor graduates, entrepreneurs, career expanders/switchers and even undergraduate with experiences .
How is Hope University MBA rewarded with 120 ECTS ?
Hope University prepares candidates for certification for a double degree: The Hope University MBA & The "Strategic Activities Manager Level 7 certification titled" of BBS Business School. EBBS ensures compliance with certification requirements and, upon successful completion & validation by the certification jury, awards the certificate with 120 ECTS credits for meeting the requirements of professional proficiency equivalence.
